How updating nvidia graphics
For high-details UHD gaming you’d better aim at the higher class laptops with Nvidia GTX 1070 or 1080 graphics, or if you prefer a more portable computer, you could stick to something with GTX 1060 or even GT 1050 graphics that’s compatible with external enclosures via Thunderbolt 3.
Below you’ll find a full list of all the thin-and-light laptops with Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics, with details about the hardware inside, battery, screens and each unit’s important particularities.
The GTX 1060 mobile chip comes with either 3 or 6 GB of DDR5 video memory and is much faster than the GTX 970M and even the 980M solutions used in older laptops.
For reference, while a GTX 1060 6GB laptop scores around 15000 points in 3DMark11, you would only get around 10000 points on a GTX 970M configuration and around 13000 points on a GTX 980M computer.
We covered the GTX 10 notebooks in a previous article, and we also have a similar article on the more affordable 1050/1050 Ti powered options.
